vest
I have started on my sister’s vest.

This yarn (Manos del Uraguay) is very nice to knit with. Initially I was going to use solid red. I am glad that I decided instead to use this. The variety of colors is beautiful, and will add depth to the simple vest. The other sweater that I am working on is a tiny bit more complicated, so this is great for those times when I want to knit but may not be able to keep careful track of where I am in the pattern. I am knitting this on circular needles up to the arms so it goes very fast.
I can get a little obsessed, and I have to work very hard not to knit at red lights. (I know this could be dangerous) Because I do keep my knitting next to me (along side my camera) when I am in the car. This is yet another great reason to take public transporation! I love to knit on Muni.
Hi Libby,
Tommy sent me the link to your blog. Long time…hope you and yours are very well. I didn’t know you are a knitter. I can relate to the knitting at the red light thing, as I knit while on the recumbent bike at the gym this morning. That Manos color looks gorgeous knitted up! Your sister is very lucky! Before I read your post I thought it was Malabrigo…they have a very similar colorway that a friend of mine used in a sweater.
