It’s a new day

My garden is wonderful.    Well, actually, it is not currently wonderful.   This winter I neglected it (along with several other important things…maybe more on that another time…), and it is overgrown and a little sad.

Every plant is too huge for the small space, weeds are coming up in the bricks, the vine along the fence is going crazy (not in a good way), etc. etc.

Plus, yesterday was drizzly, which added to the glumness.  Even though the space is small, it seems overwhelming.  Is it possible for it to become lovely?  And on a minimal budget?

Hello?

I love puttering in the garden.  And I don’t have to do it all in one day.  I just need to start.

So today I started.   Even a half-hour made a gigantic difference.   Plus, taking a photo and reviewing it helps somehow.  It allows me to be objective when viewing it – as if it were someone else’s garden.  So here’s a start:
